Ever wonder what it would be like to be a party, and notice that someone there had simply, come to a stop. That as the party goes on, one by one the party goers simply... pause, frozen in time... and if you couldn't leave, before you joined them...
Remember, all hypnosis is self hypnosis. You have all the power, I'm simply showing you how to use it. You can take a moment to look around the room
To let everything sink in
To let the people there form in your mind
Letting yourself see who they are.
How they are dressed
And what they are doing.
As you look around the room
Standing in the far corner
Holding your drink
Just looking around
Watching everyone
Just getting the feel for the party
Getting a feel for who everyone is
You can’t help but notice someone
On the far end of the room
They look like they are doing much the same thing
As you are
Just leaning against the wall and watching
But there is something strange
About them.
Not so much about them in particular
But their posture
Their pose
Their position
Their drink is half was raised to their mouth
Their mouth appears to half open
Like they are ready to receive the drink
But they… seem to have stopped
Just standing there.
Staring down at their drink
Like they are waiting for it to come to them
But it never does.
You can’t help but look them over
Their clothing
Their appearance
Just completely… still
Unmoving.
Unresponsive to the party around them.
No one else seems to have noticed
They all just seem to keep going on with their conversations
After all, why would anyone notice on person
Leaning against the wall
In the distance.
In front of them, a group of people are talking
Three people
The one with their back to you is the one telling a story
Animated and excited.
While the other two look on
Listening
Smiling
And laughing
But then you notice…
That one of them just seems.
To stop…
Mid laugh
Their head tilted back a bit
Their mouth open in a big
Laughing grin
But they just seem to … pause
Seem to come to a stop.
The other two with them don’t seem to notice
They just keep going on.
That is until the other listener
Seems to blink
And smile
And lean in a bit
Extending their arm in a flirty fashion to touch the person talking
But they never make it that far.
Instead of getting close to them
They seem to just stop
Mid way to touching them
Their hand extended awkwardly
Reaching out to touch the person they were going to flirt with
But they never made it.
They simply seemed to go… on pause.
The person speaking, can’t help but finally notice
What has happened to their audience.
They seem to stop
And look at the person to their right
The one trying to give them a touch
They seem to lean in to ask if they are ok.
And the notice the other one has not moved either
They seem to look from one person to the next
Confused
They raise their hand up and wave it in front of each
Of the now frozen audience
And then snap their fingers
Twice in front of the person to the left that froze first
And then on in front of the person to the right.
And then you notice…
Their hand has stopped moving, mid snap.
They simply stand there.
Starting at the frozen person to their right
Completely frozen themselves…
Without ever figuring out what was going on.
All of them just…
Stopped…
Helpless…
Unthinking…
Unmoving…
Completely frozen.
But why?
Of course before that question can be answered
The rest of the party seems to finally become aware
That something has happened
That something is… happening.
One or two people start to stop their conversations
And point at the four
Frozen figures
A few people seem to laugh
One person asks if this is an impromptu, flash freeze gag
Like they do in malls, just to be artsy
But no one really seems to know what is going on.
Two, brave individuals
Start to move towards the frozen display
They both seem to have the intention
Of messing with the people they think…
Are just playing.
One of them licks their pinky finger
And goes to stick it into the ear
Of the frozen story teller.
Only to get an inch away
And then simply…
Stop
At the same time, the other person
Moves behind the person who was frozen
Mid flirt
And goes to cop a feel of their butt.
But again they get within mere inches
And then simply…
Pause.
stopping .
Their bodies in positions that would make it
Nearly impossible to hold for any length of time
Just…
Stopped.
And then someone else notices. That…
They don’t appear to be breathing.
They don’t appear to be blinking
They are simply
Stopped.
One of the party goes starts to freak out
And starts to run for the door
But just as they get there
And grab the door knob
They stop…
Their clothes ruffled in move movement
Holding the door knob
Just…
Stuck
And also…
Blocking the door.
Another person panics as well…
And steps back
Looking around frantically
Until they spot a telephone
On the wall in the kitchen
Just off of the room where the party is being held.
Without a moments hesitation
They move
Towards the phone.
Reaching out for it
Only to stop
Mid stride
Inches from the phone
Their body suspended
On one foot
Leaning forward in and unsustainable pose
Unable to move
Unable to react.
Just…
Stopped…
The remaining party goers look around at each other
You can’t help but see the different
Emotions on display
Some are nervous
Some are curious
Some are excited
But none seem to realize that there is
A pattern
To what is happening
That whatever is making the party goers
Simply stop…
Simply freeze
Is moving across the room
Directly towards you…
And the remaining guests
One of the guests simply turns to the rest of you, as they walk
Towards the others,
Looking at you as they shuffle backwards
Commenting that it’s all just a gag
A very well, set up…
But they never finish their sentence
Their body seems to stop
Their mouth frozen in the middle of what they were saying
Their arms out showing how expressive they were,
How active they had been just seconds ago
But now they are just
Stopped…
And frozen
The remaining two guests look at one another
And then at you
The one closest to the rest of the frozen people
Seems to ask
What the heck is going on
And then turns to look at the rest of the group
You wait for them to say something
Wait for them to move
To step forward
But nothing happens
It takes you both a moment
To realize they already froze.
The last remaining guest
Confused and not really thinking
Extends their hand to shake the person
But as soon as they touch their shoulder
They just…
Stop…
The party is quiet
The room is still
Almost like it’s empty
It’s just you now
Just you and the frozen party goers
You take a moment to look down at your drink cup
Still in your hand
And set it down
You turn to look back at the room
But as soon as you do
You notice your body just seems to
Stop…
No movement
You mind is still
Your aware of the room around you
Aware of the frozen party goers
Some frozen in mid sentence
Some with a look of enjoyment
A look of concern
Some stuck in mid movement
Some in the middle of an action
Their eyes just seem to be…
Blank…
And empty
Unseeing
Completely still
Completely paused
Just…
Like…
You…
Your body is just stuck
Unmoving
And your thoughts…
Your thoughts have stopped as well
You just stay there
Absorbing the feeling
Helpless
Still
On display
But on display for who?
Do you find that you feel
Someone watching you
The way that you
Were watching the rest of the party goers
That you are somehow
Being viewed
Being seen
That everyone here, is.
Just a display
Like a store front mannequin
You are simply stuck here.
Not even realizing that you are stuck
Not even realizing that you are helpless
And unmoving.
Your mind has stopped
Time itself…
Has stopped around you
You and all the party goers
Have somehow ended up
In a little bubble
Of paused time
Your attention can wander
Easily from person
To person
All the way back to the person across the room
Against the wall
The story teller, and their enthralled audience
The two pranksters…
The panicked person that ran for the door
The one who ran for the phone.
The person that stepped forward to try and prove
That this was all show.
Only to end up a part of the show themself
And of course
The people around you
The one who was confused
The one who tried to shake them free
And you…
All frozen
All still
All stuck
And helpless
Your mind can easily
Cycle through them all
One.
By
One
Taking in every angle
Of their frozen forms
Every angle of their body,
Their posture
Every tensed muscle
Every expression
It’s just one big display
That you happened to become a part of
And be aware of course
Your own body
Your own posture
How you look
How you feel
Unable to move
Unable to think
Simply
Stuck…
Still
Paused…
Frozen…
And here you will stay…
For how long is up to you
Just leaving your mind
Empty and blank
Letting the surrounding images
The surrounding people
All just filter in
Into your mind
Into your thoughts
Aware of every person
Their pose
Their expression
Their blank empty eyes.
Just like you are aware of your own pose
Your own expression
And your own blank empty eyes.
You will stay here for a time
And when you are ready
Ready to wake up.
You will simply allow yourself
To start to move
Maybe the other pary goers start to move as wel
Or maybe it is just you
Free to explore the party
Whichever it is
When you are ready to wake up
Simply let yourself take a deep breathe
And come back up

And tell yourself to wake up.
