Melt away

A new world starts to take it’s place

You are standing in the entry way 

Of a large victorian style mansion 

A mansion that has been here

For a very long time. 

It’s old… and abandoned

And seems to be standing 

By sheer will alone… 

It’s as if the house has an energy 

And it refuses to let go. 

Refuses to give in. 

But you are not alone

Not today. 

Today you have someone with you 

Someone very special. 

As you look over to them 

Maybe you recognize them. 

Maybe they are someone from a fantasy

Or someone you always dreamed about

It doesn’t matter. 

As long as you find yourself 

Looking them over

Slowly 

Taking in their body 

Their physique

Their expression

Their smile. 

You’re so happy that they 

Agreed to explore this old mansion 

With you. 

They seem confident

And eager. 

Their clothes show off their form 

And highlight all the things

You find attractive about them. 

Not wanting to get distracted 

You simply take out your flashlight

And start to explore

The house is dusty 

And musty 

The air feels thick with moisture

And mold

Cobwebs

And who knows what else… 

The floor creeks underneath you

But feels solid enough 

As you start to wander

At first you stay together

Both talking and laughing

Making jokes

And just a little flirting 

As you move through the house

Step by step. 

Little by little

Letting all sink in. 

But then you turn to look 

Look at your partner

Only to realize

They aren’t there… 

At some point the two of you 

Took separate paths

And you didn’t realize it. 

You wander around a bit

And you notice their flashlight

Moving through one of the rooms

And you decide

You might play a little trick on them 

Might make them think 

That you were lost. 

You hear them call your name in confusion

And start to search 

Waving the light around 

Slowly as they look for you. 

But you stay hidden

Stay quiet… 

But they are coming right for you 

Heading right where you are currently 

Located

You can’t help but laugh 

Just a bit

As you cover your mouth 

And sneak into an old bedroom

And hide behind a piece of furniture

You watch… 

And you wait… 

You hear footsteps getting closer

But you yet 

They don’t appear… 

And then you feel a hand 

Gently touch your shoulder

It’s cold… but soothing. 

Like a caress

You jump at first

And then relax

“Looks like you got me…” 

You say with a smile as you turn 

Only instead of your attractive partner

What you see in front of you 

Is a ghostly apparition 

Floating 

Waving 

Transparent

If they were made of nothing 

But pure mist… 

Out of fear you gasp 

And drop your flashlight. 

And turn to run 

But as you turn 

You come face to face

With another apparition 

Floating in front of you 

You quickly look between the two 

As you feel them moving closer to you 

Inching forward. 

At this point… You’ve had

Just about enough… 

You take in a deep breathe

Ready to scream 

But as you do

The apparition in front of you 

Lunges forward

And moves directly into your mouth 

As you inhale

You feel your body gasp 

Inhaling even more

As you feel the cool 

Damn fog like feeling 

Of the apparition move into your body 

You jerk 

And tingle

Twist and writhe

As if your body were struggling against itself. 

You feel a cold 

Creepy feeling 

Moving through your body 

Little by little

Drifting through your skin

Down at your toes

And your fingers

And moving up 

Up 

Up 

Very slowly 

But relentlessly 

The higher it goes 

The more of your body 

You lose control of. 

The sensation makes its way 

Up your arms

Up your legs

And then slowly drifts into your pelvis

Into your torso

You feel yourself shiver

For just a moment 

Before your body 

Stops wiggling 

Stops struggling

You feel your breathing slow

You are looking around 

Trying to scream 

Trying to call out for help 

Trying to protest

But nothing comes out 

Your lungs are now under the control 

Of the apparition that is inside of you

But the cool 

Foggy feeling

Keeps moving 

Up your neck 

To your head. 

You start to feel a fog

Wash over you 

As if something were

Clouding your thoughts

So if something was burying your mind

You feel your eyes close

And all struggling seems to stop 

You scream in your mind 

Louder

And louder

And then your eyes open 

And the screaming 

Stops.. 

All of your thoughts

Simply stop. 

You feel calm 

Passive

Completely still 

Swaying gently 

On your feet

Your head lulling from one side

To the other

Very slowly. 

Your mind is gone…. 

Completely turned off. 

You are merely a passenger

Inside your own body 

You feel yourself move

And look at the original apparition

Which moves closer to you 

And drifts inside of you 

Just like the other

But this one 

As the two merge

There is a warmth 

A feeling of peace

That wasn’t there originally 

The two apparitions are.. 

Lovers… from a former life

And now finally 

They are together… 

Inside of you… 

The feeling of warmth 

And passion 

Flow through you 

But this isn’t enough… 

Not yet… 

This is where our teaser will end.
